 Did you ever hear about the time that little brown birds became illegal and targeted for sparrow-cide? Well, although that sounds like a stupid plot for a story, it’s actual a true story from modern history. And the wiping out of sparrows in China led to one of the greatest famines in history. And by 
“great”, I mean HUGE. Around 45 million people dead from starvation caused by communist policies.  I wanted to tell you about this because November 7 was National Victims of Communism Day. Most media and schools don’t mention it, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter. I think it’s more important than ever that we learn from history today, so that we don’t repeat the same mistakes tomorrow.  I wrote a chapter on the sparrow-cide in my book “Who Are China’s Walking Dead?” and for National Victims of Communism Day I submitted it to The Epoch Times. They are one media outlet who isn’t shy to report the truth about the disasters of socialist and communist policies around the world.
